About Me and My Nationwide Tutoring Services

From an early age, I’ve always had a passion for learning and a knack for helping others. I thrived in academic environments, finding joy in subjects like math and science. I often lent a hand to classmates who needed support. One of my earliest memories of success was entering a Math Bee contest in 3rd grade, where I had to solve problems in my head, a challenge that fueled my love for learning.

However, life brought unexpected challenges. I became a young mother and made the difficult decision to leave high school just months before graduation to focus on raising my children. Even though my priorities shifted, my passion for education never faded.

After a frightening incident at a local school, my husband and I chose to homeschool our children to ensure their safety. Realizing I couldn’t homeschool without a diploma, I earned my GED, proudly achieving scores well above the required level. I then dedicated myself to teaching my children at home, determined to ensure they were on grade level. 

I will forever be grateful to Mrs. Wilson, who guided me on how to develop curricula and create lesson plans. Year after year, when my children took their statewide tests, their scores not only met but exceeded expectations, proving that with dedication and a love for teaching, anything is possible. It was during this time that I realized teaching wasn’t just something I enjoyed—it was my true calling.

Later, I met Dr. Moss, a principal of a private school, who was impressed by my children’s academic performance. She recognized my gift for teaching and offered me a position, encouraging me to join her school. I still remember her words: “I need teachers like you.” I homeschooled my older children until they reached high school, then enrolled them in her private school. With her support, I decided to return to school and earn my teaching degree. This began my 11-year journey of teaching at her school while continuing to homeschool my younger children. Going back to school and rediscovering the joy of guiding young minds reaffirmed my purpose as an educator.

The idea for Nurturing Minds Tutorial came to life after I left the private school to care for my elderly mother. Soon after, a former student’s mother reached out, asking if I would tutor her son, Bryson. After just two sessions, I saw the joy and confidence in his face when he finally understood the material, and it reignited my passion for teaching.

That feeling didn’t go unnoticed, my son saw how fulfilled I was and encouraged me to take that joy and turn it into something bigger. He asked, “Why does teaching make you so happy?” I answered, “Because I’m helping secure our future.” That simple belief inspired our motto, “Securing our future, one mind at a time.”

With his help, Nurturing Minds Tutorial was born. He played a key role in shaping our company, turning a dream into reality. His belief in my vision and his support allowed me to take the next step, and I couldn’t have done it without him.

Since 2016, Nurturing Minds Tutorial has empowered thousands of students to grow, excel, and surpass goals they once thought were out of reach. Through personalized guidance, support, and an unwavering commitment to their development, our students unlock abilities they never thought possible. We’ve watched them thrive academically, grow personally, and improve their self-esteem and confidence, bringing pride and joy not only to themselves but to their families.

The progress our students make under our care often exceeds expectations. With the right teaching, an individualized approach, and genuine dedication, every child has the potential to go beyond what they ever imagined.

My Mission

My mission is to help students not only catch up but also move ahead in their academic journeys. I believe that with the right guidance and support, every child can succeed. I’m committed to helping your child develop the confidence and skills they need to thrive, and I can’t wait to be a part of their success story.

I am a dedicated teacher with a deep passion for education. Since founding Nurturing Minds Tutorial in 2016, I have helped countless students strengthen their foundational skills and achieve academic excellence. I have also attended and volunteered at numerous community events to further support students and their families.

As both a homeschooling mother and an educator in private and public schools, I witnessed firsthand how much students benefit from one-on-one, individualized tutoring. Seeing students build confidence and improve academically has made running Nurturing Minds Tutorial one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life.

Over the years, we have successfully helped thousands of students in our local communities, and now we are expanding our reach to support students nationwide. Our nationwide tutoring services are designed to provide the same level of care, attention, and academic excellence to students across the country.
